County Windows (Sussex) Ltd was established in 1982 by Jack and Jo Evans in Horam village.

The philosophy of the business then, and now, is to always offer good, professional advice to potential customers and never to offer gimmicks. If you offer a 10 year guarantee, then you should be there throughout the 10 years if ever a customer has a problem. Clearly this has paid off as we are a thriving business and have been since 1982.

The Horam showroom was a landmark in the village, but as the company grew it became more and more difficult for customer parking, and to load and unload the lorries full of products. So, in 2001 we created a new showroom in Heathfield where we now have an extensive display of conservatories, windows, doors, porches and other products. It even has a two storey house inside the showroom itself. There is easy parking and disabled access.

Steve Milham, who originally joined as Sales/Installations Manager, is Managing Director.

We are fortunate to have a great bunch of people working for County – from the sales people, installations and admin teams, through to the team of craftsmen who translate the surveys and quotations into reality – the window fitting and building teams. They work hard in all weathers and we receive wonderful letters from satisfied customers all the time.

In 2003 we expanded our building expertise and formed County Building (Sussex) Ltd, a subsidiary of County Windows. We are pleased to now offer extensions, loft conversions, internal refits, decking and patios, driveways and other groundworks. We are really delighted with the response we have had since the launch which has included large extensions, refurbishments, alterations and landscaping.
